Duane M. Sherfield
Duane M. Sherfield, 69, of Medford, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 under the care of the Palliative team at the Marshfield Medical Center. He was born May 13, 1956 to Galen and Eleanor (Sperl) Sherfield. Duane grew up on the family farm and graduated from Medford Senior High School. After graduation he continued farming. Through the years he also produced maple syrup, pelted mink for local mink ranchers and worked at Weather Shield for many years all while continuing to farm.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, farmerās market, playing horseshoes, traveling and spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed but he will forever be in our hearts.
On Dec. 24, 1994, Duane married Janice Chariton. They resided in Medford where Duane and his brother Roger built their home from the ground up.
Duane is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Eckert of Medford, and Michelle (Chet) Coonen of Milwaukee. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Megan, Dylan, and Ellie Eckert and Ella, Ivy, Charlotte, and Camden Coonen. He was also blessed with two great grandchildren, Axel and Coil Williams. He is also survived by his siblings, Dale (Cathy) Sherfield of Medford, Loren Sherfield of Rib Lake, Roger (Annette) Sherfield of Rib Lake, Lynn (Stuart) Amundson of Medford, Lee (Jessica) Sherfield of Medford and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters-in-law, Carol Sherfield and Mary Sherfield.

A celebration of life will be held from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 3 in the social hall at Holy Rosary in Medford. In lieu of flowers, support your local farmers market.
