Glenn W. Ostberg Sr.

Glenn W. Ostberg Sr., 88, New Braunfels, Texas, passed away Nov. 11, 2021.

Glenn and Muriel previously lived in Cadott, owning Ostberg Auto Salvage, from 1967-82, along with Auto Acres and operated National Car Rental.

Moving to New Braunfels, Texas, in 1982, Glenn continued to work in the automotive industry another 35 years, officially retiring at the age of 87.

He is survived by his wife – Muriel, of 62 years; children – Deborah, Jill, Judy, Sally, Lynda, Glenn “Chip” W. Jr. and Sara; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Ruben and Jenny Ostberg; in-laws – Durwood and Jessie Franzwa; his four siblings; and one grandson.

Muriel and family will welcome visitors to a celebration of life in Glenn’s honor Friday, July 8, at English Lutheran Church of Bateman, County Hwy. X in Chippewa Falls. Visitation begins at 1 p.m., with the service at 2 p.m., followed by a time of fellowship until 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the family for a future memorial is preferred.
