Jean Ann Reuss

Jean Ann Reuss, 78, Cornell, passed away Friday, April 22, 2022, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, with her family by her side.

Jean was born in Chicago, Ill., Oct. 27, 1943, the daughter of Wilbert and Mildred Reuss.

Her family moved from Chicago, Ill., to Leona, then to Cornell.

Jean attended grade school in Chicago, Ill., then graduated from Cornell High School.

She lived most of her life in Cornell, working as an inhome nanny and caretaker. She also worked at Rockwell Automation and numerous other jobs.

Her passions included her family, garage sales, baking, the Packers, fishing, riding motorcycles, camping and, of course, the casino! She was an active member of TOPS. She was also a member of the Cornell Lions Club and the First Presbyterian Church.

Jean was a very generous person, who would do anything for anyone.

She is survived by her significant other – Tom Ingles; her son – Charles (Tracy) Williams, Catawba; her daughter – Brenda (Mike) Olson, Missoula, Mont.; seven grandchildren – Crystal Gillett, Mindy Gillett, Trevor (Sarah) Gillett, Tucker (Kayla) Williams, Tana Williams, Jonathon Olson and Jessica Wallowing, and their significant others; 10 greatgrandchildren and another one on the way; numerous nieces and nephews; her sister – Joan (Kenny) Houle, Wabeno; and brother – James (Rita) Reuss, Bellevue, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents – Wilbert and Mildred Reuss; and brothers – George Reuss and Tom Reuss.

A celebration of life will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Cornell, Saturday April 30. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with the service at 12:30 p.m. Lunch will follow at 1 p.m.

The family would like to thank the staff at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, for their heartfelt care while she was there.
