Charles “Chuck” B. Seidlitz, 78, passed away at his home, Tuesday, March 1, 2022.

Charles was born Jan. 21, 1944, in Chippewa Falls, to Walter and Pearl (Stevens) Seidlitz.

He married Janet Kohls Nov. 11, 1967, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cornell.

Chuck proudly served his country during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Cornell American Legion.

As a child, Chuck learned the value and satisfaction of working on the family farm. He continued to work on the farm his entire life, through the good times and bad, while always keeping a positive outlook on life.

He was a humble and kind man, always willing to lend a helping hand to those who were in need.

Chuck’s daily gator ride with his canine buddy, Jack, was always a highlight and usually ended with a visit with his granddaughters. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife – Janet; sons – Carl (Stephanie) Seidlitz and Daniel (Daphne) Seidlitz; brothers – Herman “Duane,” Tim (Ramona), Larry (Diane) and John (Roxanne) Seidlitz; sisters – Jeanette Black and Norma (Carol) Christiansen; four grandchildren – Kendra, Kaelyn, Kinnley and Maci; numerous nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Walter and Pearl; brothers – Lyle and Raymond Seidlitz; sisters – Delta Christiansen, Nona Fehr and Beatrice Matott; and in-laws – Walter and Alice Kohls.

Services will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cornell, Saturday, March 12, at11 a.m. There will be a visitation from 4-7 p.m., Friday, March 11, at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer, and one hour prior to the service, at the church, Saturday.

Interment and military honors will be in the spring, at the Cleveland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Cornell American Legion.
