Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Matthew Godersky; her son, Richard D. Godersky; her father, Otto F. Peters; and mother, Vanzie (Smith) Peters. She is survived by her children, Lisa M. Hince, Thomas S. Godersky, and Kim L. Higdon; her grandchildren, Joseph S. Skibbie, Jacob A. Skibbie, Sara A. Skibbie, Leslie Leu, and Lonnie Leu Jr.; and her great-grandchildren, Landyn, Luka, and Lawson Leu.

Violet and Richard owned and operated Dick and Vi’s Resort in Spirit Lake. She spent an enjoyable retirement in Florida, then cherished five years at Mary Queen of Angels in Nashville, Tenn., and during her final year, she returned to northern Wisconsin, where her daughter, Lisa, lovingly cared for her. She enjoyed being around others and formed many wonderful friendships.
