Stephen Shereda (Sebs), 74, passed away on April 12, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer in Dallas, Texas. Born on Dec. 14, 1951, in Medford. Stephen lived a life filled with love for his family, dedication to his craft and a passion for athletic pursuits. Stephen proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1974 until 1978. During his service, he honed his skills as a dental lab technician – a profession he would carry forward with great success. After completing his military service, Stephen opened his own dental laboratory, first in Michigan and later in Dallas, Texas. His expertise and commitment to excellence earned him respect and admiration in his field.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Stephen was known for his athleticism and adventurous spirit. He was an accomplished downhill skier who embraced the thrill of the slopes and an excellent golfer who enjoyed the precision and challenge of the game. These hobbies reflected not only his physical

abilities but also his determination and zest for life. Stephen’s generous and compassionate nature left a lasting impression on those who knew him. He cherished time spent with family and friends and was deeply loved by those fortunate to share his journey. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda (Salem) Shereda; brother, Dan (Marilyn) Shereda; sisters, Joni (Brian McKenna) Shereda, Mary Shereda, Ruth (Omar) Sultan and Cynthia (Daniel Feldman) Shereda; nephews, David Shereda Jr., Dustin Shereda, Derek Shereda, Julian Shereda-McKenna, Raphael Shereda-McKenna; and stepson Josh Fry.

Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Shereda; mother, Betty Shereda; brother, David Shereda Sr.; and niece, Deanna Shereda.

Stephen’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May those who mourn find comfort in remembering the generosity and warmth he brought into their lives.

A celebration of his life is planned for a later date.
