Addie May Deinhamer
1924-2026
Addie May Deinhamer, 101 ½, passed away peacefully on Jan. 20, 2026 at Aspirus Care and Rehab-Medford with her family by her side under the care of Hope Hospice.
She was born on June 6, 1924 in the Town of Sigel, Chippewa County to the late Jessie and Mary (Bates) Helm. Addie was the oldest of seven children.
On June 7, 1943 she was baptized into the Catholic religion and married her sweetheart, Albert Deinhamer, on July 19, 1943 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church-Cadott. Most of her earlier married years were spent farming with her husband and raising their son and three daughters.
The couple moved to the Gilman area and when the children were all grown up she began working at Stanley Corporation in Stanley until she retired.
Addie enjoyed gardening, quilting, and canning. Always doing for others, she made quilts for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Addie loved a quiet, simpler life. She always said she didn’t need those fancy gadgets and her birthdays were just a number; it was how you felt that mattered. She will be missed by all who knew her, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandma, and aunt.
She is survived by her three daughters, Judy (Gerald) Warner, Patricia (Alfred) Meyer, and Bonnie Warner, all of Gilman; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Verle Green and Violet Rud; and a brother-in-law, Raymond Deinhamer.
Addie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert (2008); her son, Larry (2005); a grandson, Jeremy Meyer (2013); a son-in-law, Carl Warner; her brothers, Ronald and Donald; her sisters, Irene and Esther; and a daughter-in-law, Zita Deinhamer.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 26, 2026 at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church-Gilman with Father Joseph Stefancin officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Monday at the church. Plombon Funeral Service assisted the family with arrangements.
Special thanks to all at Aspirus Nursing Home-Medford and Hope Hospice for the special care of our mom.
