Lori “Hilber” Ried

1961-2025

Lori “Hilber” Ried, 64, of Medford, entered into eternal rest on Dec. 31, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center. A celebration of her life will be held with family and friends at a later date. She will be cremated by Chippewa Valley Cremation Services.

Lori was born in Colby, to Alex and Lucille (Adams) Hilber. She graduated from Colby High School in 1979.

Lori was blessed with two beloved sons, Jeremia and Matthew, and later met the love of her life, Anthony Ried. Lori and Anthony were united in marriage on Aug. 5, 1994, in Medford, where they built a life filled with love and laughter.

Lori found joy in the great outdoors, camping, hunting, and fishing. She was also an enthusiastic sports fan, faithfully cheering for her favorite teams: the Green Bay Packers, Notre Dame, the Wisconsin Badgers, and the Milwaukee Brewers. Above all, Lori’s greatest passion was her family. She spoke often of her love for her children and grandchildren. When time allowed, Lori delighted in traveling with her sisters, creating memories that will live on in their hearts.

Lori is survived by her devoted husband, Anthony Ried; her sons, Jeremia Mueller (Amanda), of Arizona, and Matthew Mueller (Lisa), of Medford; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five sisters; two brothers; several nieces and nephews; including all her cherished in-laws.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Lucille Hilber; her in-laws, Arthur and Carrie Ried; her brothers, Alex Hilber Jr. and Thomas “the elevator guy” Hilber; and her brother-in-law, Jimmy Ried Lori’s life was a testament to love, faith, and family. May her soul find peace in the presence of the Lord, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
