1932-2023

Emil was born on May 27, 1932. For two years he served in the U.S. Army at Fort Knox, Ky. He graduated from Michigan State University with a masters degree in Forestry. He was hired by the WI State Department of Forestry, and worked as a county forester for Taylor County for over 30 years. Emil was a member of the Lions Club for over 55 years.

Hobbies included: puzzles, gardening, coin collecting, and all activities with the Medford Lions Club.

Emil is survived by wife, Dorothy, with whom he shared 68 years of marriage; one sister, Ruth Ann Hutchinson, brother-in-law, Dan Westphal (Marilyn); daughter, Vicki Ann Murphy (John Saksa) of Inverness, Fla.; and son, David Falasky (Anne) of Wausau. He is further survived by grandson, Joran Oppelt (Jen) of Asheville, N.C.; granddaughter, Danyelle Eberhardt (Josh) of Edgar; grandchildren, Samuel Carly and Drew Falasky of Wausau; and four great-grandsons, Easton and Knox Eberhardt of Edgar, and Logan and Ashton Oppelt of Asheville, N.C.

There will be a private family service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the WI Lions Foundation.
