Robert J. “Bob” Shook, 79, of Rib Lake, died Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Rib Lake Health Services surrounded by his family and under the care of Hope Hospice.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 16 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Rib Lake with Fr. Jayanna Kanna officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Westboro.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m., until the time of service at 11 a.m. Friday, June 16 at the church.

Bob was born April 16, 1944 in Washington DC to David and Eleanore (Collins) Shook. He grew up in West Allis, WI and graduated from Nathan Hale High School.

On June 4, 1966 he married Sharon Peltier at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Westboro.

They resided in Westboro where Bob worked as a logger and had various factory jobs until completing his apprenticeship to become a union journeyman carpenter, which he did until his retirement.

Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his Harley, building and driving his ’32 Ford, but mostly spending time with his family, and his dog Shadow.

He is survived by his two children, Julie Lake of Ogema, Tracy (Karen) Shook of Medford; siblings, Dave Shook, Beth (Ron) Mouradian, Jeff (Deb) Shook, Judy (Pat) O’Malley; grandchildren, Sierra and Colton Lake, Cassandra “Cassi” (Will) Fischer and Chelsea (Cody Baldwin) Shook; greatgranddaughter, Adeline; and one great-grandchild coming in Sept.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sharon on July 27, 2012; sister-in-law, Mary Shook; and his beloved dog, Shadow.
