Pat was born March 17, 1937 in Medford to Francis “Frank” and Frances (Gaab) Baumgartner. She grew up in Medford, where she attended Holy Rosary School and graduated from Medford High School in 1955. She then took employment at Mutual Insurance in Wausau.

On Sept. 8, 1956, she married Henry “Hank” Deml at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford. She enjoyed square dancing, bowling, sewing, cooking, gardening, going to their Lake Esadore cottage in the summers, skiing in the winter, trips to the casino, and most of all, her growing family. What a blessing to have.

After retirement, she spent some time helping her parents and took other elderly to appointments. She was a Grandma Reader for the middle school, a Red Hatter, and played cards for Memorial Hospital in their card club. She was also a member of the Holy Rosary Ladies Society.

Pat and Hank lived in the town of Little Black for 64 years.
