Probation/Sentence withheld

Kyle James Anderson, 37, of Stetsonville, pled no contest and was found guilty of misdemeanor bail-jumping. Sentence was withheld and a probation of 18 months was issued. Anderson shall submit to a DNA sample at the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department. Costs of $443 shall be paid directly to the Taylor County Clerk of Court’s Office. These costs have been added to the current payment plan with payments increasing to $100/ month.

Anderson pled no contest and was found guilty of theft of moveable property <=$2,500. A fine of $550 is to be paid at $100/month.

Anderson pled no contest and was found guilty of operating while revoked (revocation due to alcohol/ controlled substance/refusal) He was ordered to pay a fine of $443. A second charge of misdemeanor bail-jumping, felony bail-jumping, criminal trespass to dwelling were dismissed but read in court. A charge of operating a motor vehicle without insurance was dismissed on prosecutor’s motion.

Deagan J. McNamar, 17, of Brantwood, pled no contest and was found guilty of battery [which was amended from strangulation and suffocation]. Sentence was withheld and probation of one year was ordered. McNamar shall submit to a DNA sample at the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department. The costs of $443 shall be paid directly to the Taylor County Clerk of Courts at the rate of $25/month beginning January 30, 2023. McNamar shall have no contact with the victim and shall write a letter of apology to victim due within 30 days of sentencing. McNamar shall undergo counseling as deemed appropriate by probation. McNamar may petition the court for expungement upon successful completion of probation which includes payment of court costs.

Matthew D. Petty, 30, of Menominee, pled no contest and was found guilty of possession of methamphetamine. Sentence was withheld and a probation of two years was ordered. Petty shall submit to a DNA sample at the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department. A bond of $500 has been applied towards the unpaid costs of $518. The balance of the costs was to be paid directly to the Taylor County Clerk of Courts office by November 30. Petty shall undergo AODA and follow through with any treatment recommendations. Petty shall undergo counseling as deemed appropriate by probation. Two charges of felony bail-jumping and misdemeanor bailjumping were dismissed but read in court.

Deferred prosecution

Michael A. Gordon, 39, of Park Falls, pled not guilty to charges of Financial Transaction card-fraudulent use (<=$2,500) (party to a crime). Gordon entered into a deferred prosecution agreement for the period of six months. Gordon shall not commit any criminal offenses; shall notify the Taylor County District Attorney’s Office, as well as the Clerk of Courts office of any change of address within ten days of said change. Upon successful completion of the agreement, the state will move to dismiss the charge. Restitution of $310 shall be paid.

Jessica A. Zvolena, 42, of Medford, pled no contest and entered into a deferred prosecution agreement for the period of nine months for a charge of disorderly conduct-domestic abuse [infliction of physical pain or injury]. Zvolena shall not commit any criminal offenses and shall notify the Taylor County District Attorney’s Office as well as the Clerk of Court’s office, of any change of address within ten days of said change. Upon successful completion of the agreement, the state will move to dismiss the case.

Initial appearance

Elijah M. Zastrow, 18, of Marathon, pled no contest to homicide by negligent operation/vehicle, criminal damage to property, negligent operation of motor vehicle and disorderly conduct. A status hearing is scheduled for January 31, 2023 at 3:30 p.m.

$200.50—Vanessa Jane Loertscher, 29, of Rib Lake, speeding in 55 mph zone (16-19 mph over), amended from speeding in 55 mph zone (20-24 mph over).

$393.50—Luis Angel Priego Rivera, 24, Wausau, operating without carrying a license, amended from operating while revoked (revocation due to alcohol/controlled substance/refusal).

$225.70—Cecilia Velasco Rihn, 63, of Eau Claire, speeding in 55 mph zone (20-24 mph over), amended from speeding in 55 mph zone (25-29 mph over).

$200.50—Joshuan Francisco Steidel Medina, 26, of Colby, operating a motor vehicle without insurance. A charge of non-registration of vehicle was dismissed on prosecutor’s motion.

$393.50—Joshuan Francisco Steidel Medina, 26, of Colby, operate without carrying a license.

Found guilty

Taylor W. Bryant, 21, of Medford, pled no contest and was found guilty of misdemeanor bail-jumping. Bryant shall submit to a DNA sample at the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department. Bond previously posted in the amount of $750 has been applied to the fine of $443. A charge of felony bail-jumping was dismissed but read in court.

Stacey Ann Jankowsky, 42, of Gilman, pled guilty to a charge of operating while revoked (revocation due to alocohol/controlled substance/refusal). Jankowsky shall submit to a DNA sample at the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department. The costs of $443 shall be paid directly to the Clerk of Court at the rate of $25/month which began on December 5. A charge of license restriction- violation-Class D or M vehicle was dismissed on prosecutor’s motion. Vincent Richard Laux, 36, of Medford, pled no contest and was found guilty of operating while revoked (revocation due to alcohol/controlled substance/refusal). Laux shall submit to a DNA sample at the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department. The costs of $443 shall be paid directly to the Taylor County Clerk of Courts at the rate of $25/month beginning January 30, 2023. A charge of Off-Highway motorcycle-operate on a highway was dismissed on prosecutor’s motion.

Austin A. Markowski, 27, of Lublin, pled no contest and was found guilty of neglecting a child (specified harm did not occur). Markowski shall submit to a DNA sample at the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department. The fines and costs of $831 shall be paid directly to the Clerk of Courts at the rate of $100/month which began on December 2.

Dismissed charges

Julie Winchel, 43, of Ladysmith, was charged with operating while revoked (revocation due to alcohol/ controlled substance/refusal), two charges of felony bail-jumping, and a charge of misdemeanor bail-jumping. Charges were dismissed and consolidated into a different county.
