Leah Arline Andersen, 38, of Rib Lake, and Rose M. Thums, 60, of Rib Lake, slowed to make a right hand turn into the north Kwik Trip parking lot, on Hwy 13, on November 16, at 8 a.m., in the city of Medford. As Thums executed the turn, Andersen’s vehicle lost control of her vehicle due to icy road conditions, left the roadway and struck the curb before striking Thums’ vehicle. Thums’ vehicle was struck on the passenger side which made her vehicle hit a vehicle owned by Alex Andrew Brugge, 34, of Medford. Thums was transported by EMS Ground to Aspirus Hospital and Clinic for potential neck and back injuries. Andersen was issued a citation for inattentive driving.
James Richard Tracey, 75, of Medford, was backing out of a parking spot on E. Perkins St., on November 15, at 9:14 a.m. Jennie-Lynn K. Krauter-Doll, 20, of Kennan, was behind Tracey’s vehicle. Tracey backed into Krauter-Doll’s vehicle. Damage was done to the front passenger side bumper/fender of Krauter-Doll’s vehicle.
Dolores V. Gowey, 93, of Medford, was making a turn in the Walmart parking lot, on November 17, at 10:15 a.m., in the city of Medford. Gowey’s vehicle struck a cement sign post. Functional damage was done to the vehicle, but a tow was not necessary. Gowey drove away from the scene after the accident was investigated. No damage was done to the cement post. Gowey stated her focus was elsewhere while turning.
Owen A. Stockwell, 16, of Medford, was attempting to enter the Medford Area High School, from Broadway Ave, on November 16, at 5:39 a.m., in the city of Medford. As Stockwell was turning into the high school parking lot, his vehicle slid towards the ditch. Minor damage was done to the driver’s side front tire. Vehicle was towed but not due to disabling damage.
Craig L. Tuchalski, 48, of Greenwood, was traveling eastbound on Hwy 64, on November 6, at 9:55 a.m., in the town of Aurora. Tuchalski lost control and crossed the center line. He then entered the north ditch where he struck a culvert and some large rocks. Tuchalski’s vehicle came to rest on its wheels facing a northeast direction. Vehicle was towed due to disabling damage. Tuchalski was issued a citation for failure of operator to notify police of accident, inattentive driving and display unauthorized vehicle registration plate.
Oswaldo Chaqueha Sanchez, 20, of Merrill, was traveling eastbound on Hwy 64, on November 13, at 4:23 p.m., in the town of Goodrich. Sanchez lost control of his vehicle due to icy road conditions and entered the south ditch. Sanchez’s vehicle came to rest turned on its passenger side facing north. Vehicle was towed due to disabling damage. Sanchez was issued a citation for operating without a valid license (1st violation).
Patricia A. Cieszynski, 66, of Westboro, was traveling east bound on Quarter Ln., on November 14, at 1:03 p.m., in the town of Chelsea. Cieszynski came to the intersection of 4th Dr. and due to the snow and ice on the road, she was unable to stop. Cieszynski’s vehicle came to rest in the east side ditch of 4th Dr.
Luke E. Troyer, 20, of Medford, was traveling northbound Gibson Dr., on November 14, at 5:58 p.m., in the town of Little Black. Troyer hit a bump which had caused him to lose control due to weather conditions. Troyer’s vehicle landed on the roof in the ditch. His vehicle was towed due to disabling damage.
Donald Dale Anderson, 73, of Thorp, was traveling southbound on Meridian Dr., on November 16, at 4:20 p.m., in the town of Taft. Anderson’s vehicle skidded out of control due to wet and icy road conditions when he entered the west ditch. His vehicle overturned and came to rest on the car’s roof. Vehicle was towed due to disabling damage. Anderson was issued a citation for failure to keep vehicle under control.
Nicholas Jason Steliga, 17, of Medford, was traveling on Hwy 64, on November 14, at 6:39 p.m., in the town of Medford. Steliga proceeded to turn south on Castle Rd., when he slid through the intersection striking a road sign. Steliga’s vehicle came to rest in the west ditch facing south. Steliga’s vehicle was towed but not due to disabling damage.
