Charlotte E. “Chuck” Weiler, 95, of Antigo, formerly of Medford, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022 at Care Partner Assisted Living in Antigo while under the care of Aspirus Hospice.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 21 at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Goodrich with Rev. Kenneth Bittorf officiating. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery II, Medford.

Visitation was from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., Monday at the church.

Chuck was born Nov. 26, 1926 in Chicago, Ill. to Emil and Elizabeth (Lekie) Jari. She grew up in Medford and graduated from Medford High School in 1944.

On Feb. 19, 1945, she married Michael G. Weiler at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Athens. They resided in Milwaukee and Medford where Chuck made their home and raised their four sons.

Chuck loved spending time with her family and cherished her beloved grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She enjoyed listening to music and attending Country Fest and the Hodag music festivals; and cheering on the Brewers and Packers. In her younger years, she enjoyed camping, hunting, traveling with family, and riding along with her family on their pheasant hunts.

She is survived by her four sons, Michael (Elaine) of Pinellas Park, Fla., James (Carol) of Antigo, Larry of Neva, Roger (Shirley) of Unity; sisters, Eva Dassow of Medford, Annette “Tootie” Klinger of Medford; grandchildren, Jenny (Erich) Knapp-Parce of Seattle, Matthew (Krista) Weiler of Wausau, David (Casey) Weiler of Lake Hallie, Jessica (Tad) Hackbarth of Phlox; great-grandchildren, Solomon, Aubree, Stephanie, Tabitha, Evan, Emma, Brooklyn, Avery, Jesse, and Tony (Grace); and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter-in-law, Linda Weiler; brothers-in-law, Gerry Dassow and Roy Klinger; on the Weiler side of the family, numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
