Betty C. Zakowski

1937-2022

Betty Catherine Zakowski, age 85, of Wautoma, died unexpectedly on Friday, June 17, 2022, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center- Neenah. She was born Feb. 25, 1937, in Medford, the daughter of Albert and Martha Neuhaus Noland. Betty was a 1955 graduate of Medford High School. On June 28, 1958, she was united in marriage to Ronald Zakowski.

Betty owned Zak’s Fashions in downtown Berlin for many years. She loved to work outside in her garden, knit, crochet and sew all sorts of things for many people. Betty was a member of All Saints Catholic Parish.

She is survived by her three children, Anita (Jeff) Lind, Paul (Linda) Zakowski and Sharon Zakowski; seven grandchildren, Grace (Ryan) Dobbs, “Zac” Zakowski, Ryleigh (Matt) Nelson, Lindsey Zakowski (fiancé, Aaron Figgins), Mycenzie Zakowski, Alicia Oswald and Josef (Peyten) Oswald; two great-grandchildren, Zeke and Ike Dobbs; sister, Judy Baumgartner; brother, Eugene Noland; and many nieces; nephews and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald, on January 24, 2011; her parents; two brothers, James Noland and Jerry Noland; and two sisters, Irene Scolley and Polly Noland.
