CRASH REPORTS

Lisa Lee Burger, 32, of Athens, was northbound on Hwy 13, Arcos Cristobal Lopez, 22, of Medford was attempting to make a left turn on Perkins St., on November 16, at 6:42 p.m., in the city of Medford. North and South traffic had a green light to proceed. There were no turn arrows on the traffic lights activated. Burger and Lopez collided at the intersection. Citations were given to Lopez for operating without a valid license (1st violation), failure to yield while making a left turn, and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

Marcus P. Kleist, 49, of Medford, was parked in the parking area at 126 S. Park Ave., in the city of Medford, on November 16, at 3:54 p.m. Travis John J. Zittlow, 39, of Medford was pulling out of an adjacent parking area. Zittlow’s rear of his car hit Kleist’s left rear corner. No injuries were reported.

Brianna Kay Gonzalez, 19, of Ogema, was driving north on S. 7th St., on November 21, at 6:50 p.m., in the city of Medford. Gonzalez had a steering problem that caused the vehicle to be pulled or drift. Gonzalez was looking at her phone when the car drifted to the right and hit a legally parked and unoccupied car owned by Tyler James Lemke, of Stetsonville. According to the accident report, failure to control and operating a motor vehicle in an inattentive and careless or erratic manner were factors in the crash.

Keith E. Johnson, 58, of Sheldon, was traveling northbound on Hwy 73, on November 17, at 5:20 p.m., in the town of Cleveland. Wayne Donald Raether Jr., 36, was traveling southbound and backing into a field entrance to the west of Hwy 73. Johnson said he was blinded by the lights and struck the front driver’s side corner of the truck with the front driver’s side corner of his vehicle. Raether’s vehicle suffered functional damage to the front driver’s side corner. Johnson’s vehicle obtained extensive, but functional damage to the front driver’s side corner and driver’s side of the vehicle. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

Robert L. Harrison, 35, of Rib Lake, was traveling southbound on Hwy 13, on November 14, at 3:09 a.m., in the town of Chelsea. Harrison encountered ice on the roadway, the vehicle began to slide and entered the west ditch where it came to rest facing northwest. Damage was to the left front corner.

Nancy Kay Rohland, 67, of Medford, was traveling westbound on Hwy 64, on November 14, at 6:31 a.m., in the town of Goodrich. A cow was on the road and Rohland hit it. Owner of the cow is unknown. Damage was done to the right front corner, right side front, left side front, left front corner, and front.

Abraham Noah Ehlert, 32, of Thorp, was traveling eastbound on CTH F, in the town of Taft, on November 10, at 5:15 p.m., when he drifted to the southern shoulder of the road, then overcorrected, sending the vehicle across the westbound lane and into the northern ditch, where the vehicle struck a power pole, damaging the pole. The vehicle was pulled from the ditch by a passerby and was driven from the scene by the operator.

Christopher Thomas Carter, 37, of Medford, was driving out of the Medford Area Elementary School parking lot, on November 19, at 3:40 p.m. He attempted to turn onto the driveway leading towards Broadway Ave. from the parking lot. Carter turned too sharp and the right rear part of the truck collided with a concrete pole. The only damage to the pole was yellow paint scraped off.

Robert J. Ziembo, 64, of Medford, was traveling northbound on CTH C, on November 13, at 2:28 a.m., in the town of Greenwood, when Ziembo swerved to avoid hitting a deer. Ziembo crossed into the southbound lane and entered the west ditch and came to rest on its driver’s side facing north. A citation was given to the driver for operating under the influence.

Sara Jean Dahl, 37, of Thorp, was traveling northbound on CTH E, on November 11, at 6:36 p.m., in the town of Little Black. Dahl applied the brakes in attempt to slow from hitting a deer. Dahl’s brakes locked up causing her to lose control and enter into the east ditch. Once Dahl was in the ditch, the car proceeded to turn over on its side, where it came to rest on the driver side facing south. Dahl said that no occupants were wearing their seatbelts and they did not have insurance on the vehicle. Dahl was given citations for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and failure to wear a seatbelt. Car was towed due to disabling damage.

The following car vs. deer accidents were reported: Bryan Robert Helsten, 53, of Colby, on November 11, at 12:48 p.m., on CTH O, in the city of Medford. Debra Ann Sherman, 57, of Medford, on November 21, at 2:36 a.m., on Billings St., in the city of Medford. Kristopher Bryan Hempe, 23, of Rib Lake, on November 17, at 6:19 p.m., on Hwy 13, in the town of Medford; Cassandra Anne Shook, 28, of Rib Lake, on November 18, at 4:30 p.m., on Hwy 13, in the town of Chelsea; Thomas Ray Campbell, 66, of Loyal, on November 19, at 4:42 a.m., on CTH O, in the town of Little Black; Kristin Ann Nikkila, 28, of Owen, on November 20, at 6:20 p.m., on CTH DD, in the town of Holway; Eva Grace Ruge, 82, of Medford, on November 12, at 7:40 a.m., on CTH M, in the town of Hammel; Cindy L. Meyer, 55, of Medford, on November 12, at 5:10 p.m., on Stetson Ave., in the town of Deer Creek; Albert Jay Schulke, 60, of Eagle River, on November 14, at 5:50 p.m., on Hwy 13, in the town of Westboro; Shelby Faith Winchell, 22, of Medford, on November 14, at 8 p.m., on CTH E, in the town of Medford; Paul D. Wagner, 54, of Westboro, on November 15, at 9:30 p.m., on Hwy 13, in the town of Chelsea; Kari Lyn Leech, 39, of Thorp, on November 16, at 7:45 p.m., on Hwy 64, in the town of Hammel; Jack A. Hempe Jr., 47, of Rib Lake, on November 17, at 12:58 a.m., on Hwy 102, in the village of Rib Lake.
