James Wrede

1946-2020

James Lee Wrede, 74 ,passed away peacefully on Dec. 3, 2020 in Port Isabel, Texas with his loving wife, Roxanne at his side. Cremation rites have been accorded, a private family service will be held at a later date.

James was born and graduated from high school in Medford. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He began work at the Chrysler plant in Belvidere, Ill. and worked there until he retired after 30 years. He spent his retirement years enjoying his gardens, golfing, fishing, playing cards and filling his days with family and friends.

James is survived by his wife, Roxanne; his children, Kimberly (Gordon) Schaefer, Nicole (Martin) Adams, Tonya (Jamie) Peter, Tracey (Steve) Swanson, and Tim (Erin) Harris. James was blessed with eight grandchildren, Haley, Britton, Ezra, Dalton, Lyndzee, Cole, Dane and Claire; as well as one great-granddaughter, Layla; his siblings, Claire (Lois) Wrede, Marge (Art) Wild, Rosemary (Gerald) Viegut and many nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Mary; his brother, Dick; and sister, La-Vonne; and his first wife, Joan.

He will be sorely missed by his family and friends at Lakeland RV Campground in Milton, and the Port Isabel Park Center in Port Isabel, Texas.
