Marie A. Trulen, 89, Medford, died on Friday, Nov. 13 at Our House Senior Living, Medford where she had resided for the past year most recently under the care of Hope Hospice.
Marie was born on Oct. 11, 1931 at Marshfield to John and Catherine (Panske) Jonas, the youngest of six siblings. She attended St. Mary’s School, Bakerville. Her first marriage was to Jerome Binder at Bakerville and they were later divorced. Her second marriage was to Sid Trulen in Iowa and they also were later divorced.
She worked with her husband, Sid in the snowmobile sales business in the Marshfield area. They later owned and operated Sid’s Place in the town of Greenwood and The Farm House Supper Club in rural Medford. She retired from B & B Engineering in Medford. She will be remembered for her dedication to the Salvation Army. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with people. When anyone needed a prayer for a special intention, they knew they could count on Marie to add them in her prayers. She was a longtime member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford.

Surviving Marie are three step-children; stepgrandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested in Marie’s name to the Salvation Army. Hemer Funeral Service of Medford and Rib Lake is serving the family.

A memorial mass for Marie will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford with Father Patrick McConnell officiating. Interment of her cremated remains will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield at a later date.
