Lucille G. Krueger, age 83, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020, at Monarch Meadows (St. Joseph Residence), New London. Funeral services for Lucille were held on Tuesday, July 28, at 3 p.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London with Rev. Vicki Fink officiating. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Burial was in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, (town of Brighton) Spencer, on Wednesday, July 29 at 1 p.m.

She was born on Dec. 13, 1936, in the town of Lynne, Clark County, daughter of Albert and Dorothy (Sternitzky) Guillaume. They moved to Spencer where she attended Groveside Country School. Lucille graduated from Spencer High School in 1954. After graduation, she did housekeeping for families in Marshfield before being employed at the Weinbrenner Shoe Factory for over 30 years.

Lucille married Harold E. Gripentrog on Nov. 2, 1957; they enjoyed traveling often, taking nieces, nephews, and cousins on their trips. She was a member of the Brighton Homemakers Club, ladies bowling league, and enjoyed sewing, and helping with Ladies Aid. Lucille became a young widow at age 39 when Harold passed away on Sept. 25, 1976. She married Edward Krueger on Sept. 27, 1986; he preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 2007. They loved to fish, camp, building and selling lawn furniture, crafts and her rummage sales. Lucille took great pride in her garden and flower beds in Medford.

Lucille moved unexpectedly to New London after dementia/Alzheimer’s slowly took over.

Lucille is survived by her only child, Cynthia (Charles) Doughty; her granddaughters, Stacie (Dave Fedel) Bruss, Heather (David Mauk) Bruss and Hallie Bruss; great-grandchildren, Lily Sobczak and Crew Fedel; siblings, Paul Guillaume, Elnora Grottke, Doris Ann Hughes, Russell (Jeanette) Guillaume, Doreen Magedanz, and Robert Guillaume (friend Martha). She is further survived by four step-daughters, Terry (Bob) Ruden, Lori (Steve) Clarkson, Kathy (Jeff) Shatwell, and Cindy (Steve) Shannon; stepgrandchildren, Tina (Rob) Weis, Tanya Leonhard, Stephanie (Ken) Mueller, Tiffany (Dustin) Martell, Sterling Rueden, Alison Shatwell, Gunner Shannon, Madyson Shannon, Samantha (Josh) Muthig, Beth Doughty, Amber (Nathan) Poppe and many nieces, nephews, step-great-grandchildren and godchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, step-granddaughter, Isabell Shatwell and stepgreat- grandson, Chase Muthig.
