Daniel Dirks

Daniel O. Dirks, age 72, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026, in Colby, while under the care of Compassus Hospice at Waterford at Colby.

Dan was born on October 21, 1953, in Berlin, WI, son of the late Oscar and Leila (Richter) Dirks.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church in Marathon, presided by Rev. Jon W. Hadler. Burial will occur at a later date in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery, Marathon. Visitation will take place from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Arrangements are being managed by Peterson/ Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon.
