Allen C. Eldred

1942-2023

Allen C. Eldred, 81, of rural Westboro, died suddenly on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023.

A Memorial Mass was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church-Jump River with Father Vijay Kumar Madani officiating. Visitation was one hour prior to services at the church. Inurnment will take place in Menasha at a later date.

He was born on July 20, 1942 to the late Gordon and Dorothy (Arndt) Eldred. Al grew up in the Stockbridge area and attended area schools.

As a young man he went to work at the American Can Company.

He married Christine Mielke on June 20, 1964. He also loved the outdoors and worked side by side with his wife of 58 years in their yard, taking care of their flower and veggie gardens. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the traditional sturgeon spearing on Lake Winnebago with his family and friends. They would also love taking adventurous rides seeing many different places and scenic views.

He is survived by his son, Tim (DeAnn) Eldred of Sherwood; and his daughter, Tammy (Mike) Eldred of Kaukauna; three grandchildren, Amanda (Wes) Pompa, Tyler (Hayley) Eldred and Carissa Goerl; his siblings, Janice (Ray) Carney, Dave (Sue) Eldred and Anita (Bob) Carney all of Hilbert, Sharon Eldred of New Holstein, Bob (Pauline) Eldred of Charlesburg, Jeannie Stueber of Menasha and Don (Paul) Eldred of Chilton; and many nieces and nephews.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Christine (May 21, 2023).
