Donald “Donnie” L. Fenton Jr., 56, passed away, Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026, at his home in Sheldon.

Donnie was born April 19, 1970, to the late Donald L. Fenton Sr., and the late Sharon K. (Tolner) Fenton, in San Diego, Calif.

He grew up with a strong sense of duty, hard work and a deep love for his family.

Donnie married Heather Phelps, Feb. 14, 2020. He was a devoted and loving husband of six years, to his wife, Heather; together, they built a home filled with love, memories and support.

Above all of his accomplishments, Donnie was most proud of his family.

Donnie went on to build a fulfilling career as a traffic control technician, earning the respect of his colleagues and friends, through his steady work ethic, determination and kindness.

He is survived by, and will be dearly missed by, his loving wife – Heather; his children – Misty Fenton, Donald Fenton III (Catie), Richard Fenton, Michael (Courtney) Fenton, Jillaine Bosteder and Isabelle (Chris) Bosteder; 10 grandchildren; two sisters – April (Todd) Mord and Cheryl (Jordan) Fenton; one brother – Jon (Katie) Fenton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Donald Fenton Sr., and Sharon Fenton; and nephew – Ray Hoover.

Donnie is leaving behind a legacy of deep love for his family and will be truly missed, by everyone who knew him.

Visitation is Saturday, Oct. 10, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Borton-Leiser Funeral in Cornell, with a short prayer service, at 1 p.m., followed by a luncheon, at the Cornell American Legion Hall.
