Nancy Adeline Luedtke, 88, Cadott, passed away, Sunday, Aug. 9, 2026, peacefully, at home, with family by her side.

Nancy was born March 17, 1938, the daughter of Morris A. and Gladys M. (Hedrington) Mickelson, stepdaughter to Chester Greene.

She married Marvin K. Luedtke, Nov. 7, 1959, in Chippewa Falls. A true love story, Nancy and Marvin enjoyed each other for 66 years – a love that can be admired, for its deep devotion.

Nancy graduated from Cadott High School, then continued on to become a nurse. She worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Golden Age Nursing Home, in Chippewa Falls.

She is best known as “Nanny” to many children and adults alike, after she started her in-home childcare. Nanny’s house was very special to her kids, because it was always full of warmth, love and sweet treats. Nanny was a caregiver to generations of families, who entrusted her to watch their children and make sure the kids always felt loved.

She rocked and kissed many babies in her chair, and built special bonds that lasted into adulthood, that always kept them coming back to visit at Nanny’s house.

All of Nanny’s kids were very special and dear to her. Nanny was very proud to be a part of their lives and share in their success. Always know, Nanny is watching over you, from Heaven.

She is survived by her daughter – Tammy (Larry); grandchildren – Brody and Tegen (Brandon); greatgrandchildren – Wyatt, Willow, Sterling and Adeline; sister – Judy; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband – Marvin; son – Randy; and siblings – Morris, Mabel, Bonnie, Geneva, Beverly, Ione, Mary and Joan.

Services are at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 4, at Zion Lutheran Church in Fall Creek, with the Rev. James Norton officiating. Visitation is from 9:30 a.m., until the time of services, Friday, at the church, with lunch to follow, at the church.

Inurnment is at 1:30 p.m., Friday, at the Brooklawn Cemetery in Cadott.
