Karl Hofman

Karl W. Hofman, age 91, of Colby, passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026, under the tender care of St. Croix Hospice.

The son of Albert and Wilma (Hargraves) Hofman, Karl W. Hofman was born on February 5, 1935, in Glen Flora. Following graduation from Colby High School, Karl enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country. Hard working and dependable, Karl devoted many years to Weyerhaeuser.

In his free time, Karl found great enjoyment in bowling and golfing. An avid outdoorsman, Karl enjoyed Canadian fishing trips. Karl took great pride in supporting the Badgers. A committed community member, Karl was a longtime member of the Lions Club and valued the opportunity to serve others.

Karl is survived by one sister, Helen W. (Frederick) Appleyard, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Faye F. (Gerald) Grasee and one brother, Robert K. Hofman.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 16,2026, at Colby Memorial Cemetery at 11 a.m. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
