WIAA lists 2025-26 performance factor winter changes
The Medford Basketball Booster Club’s sixth grade boys basketball team placed fifth in the 2025 Wisconsin State Invitational Championship Tournament held March 29-30 in Ashwaubenon, De Pere and Wrightstown. Playing in the Large Division, the team went 2-1 in pool play, defeating De Pere 42-34 and La Crosse Central 48-28 before losing to Whitnall 48-40. After a 36-34 loss to River Falls in the quarterfinals, the team won its consolation semifinal 52-47 over Ashwaubenon and beat Menomonie 54-51 in the fifth-place game. Holmen won the championship game 27-24 over Whitnall. Team members include (l. to r.) Briar Weissmiller, Knox Alexander, Ethan Melvin, Oliver Daniels, Jett Jones, Jackson Brunner, John Neitzel, Mateo Lukewich, Raylan Lange and James Miicke. Easton Hartman, Jacob Hraby, Felix Bahire, and David Frenzel are not pictured. Daniels was one of nine players named to the All-Tournament team.
