A new International school bus is due to arrive this weekend. It is a 42 passenger Carpenter of the latest design and replaces the smaller 36 passenger bus.

Garden Walk

The Blue Sky Garden Club held its summer picnic in the backyard of the Howard Speck home, Abbotsford. The club held its regular meeting after lunch.

Grass Landing

After skimming across the water of the mill pond at Owen for 250 feet on a snowmobile, Hilarion Michlig, Abbotsford, hit a ditch and was pinned underneath his toppled machine. Michlig was unhurt as bystanders lifted the machine from Michlig.

Curtiss interchange work to start

Governor Tommy Thompson has signed a $4 million contract to construct a full diamond interchange at the intersection of STH 29 and CTH E at Curtiss.
