Cash estimated between $30 and $35 was taken in a robbery at the Lamont’s Service on Highway 29. Entrance was gained by cutting out a panel in the door.
Eau Pleine Jamboree
The annual jamboree and pow-wow, sponsored by the Eau Pleine Sportsmen’s Club will be held at Cherokee Park. The Lac du Flambeau Indian pageant dancers will put on a series of performances.

Quarter Horse show set for Abbotsford
Between 175 to 200 entries are expected when Abbotsford hosts its first horse show on the Bill Devereaux Ranch. There will be 41 events.
Polka Festival
All ages danced Sunday at the Dorchester Polka Festival. People danced inside and outside to two polka bands playing continuously.

New teachers
The Colby School District has hired six new teachers for the upcoming school year while Abbotsford welcomes 13 new teachers.
Peace church fun day
Over 200 were served a charcoal chicken dinner at Peace UCC along with an auction, games and a barrel train ride on Sunday afternoon.
