Leona Mae Prokupek

We bid farewell to our mom, Leona Mae Prokupek, 86, Friday, July 25, 2025, daughter of Wencle and Agnes Stipek. Leona was born Jan. 13, 1939, on the family farm in Cobban. She married Lloyd Prokupek, July 12, 1958. Together, they raised seven children. The farm and her children kept her busy! She is survived by her children – Lorraine (Mike) Berget, Lloyd, Lucy (Bob) Peloquin-Ross, Lynda (fiancé Kent Larson), and Larry (Lori) and Laurie (Dean) Hitz; son-in-law – Dennis Wille; many grandchildren; greatgrandchildren; a brother – Wencle (Theresa) Stipek; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband – Lloyd; daughter – Lisa; brother – Dale; and a sister – Violet. A celebration of Leona’s life will be held at noon, Saturday, Aug. 9, at Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott, with the Rev. Greg Sima officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m., until noon, Saturday, at the funeral home. Lunch will follow the services at the Crescent Tavern.
