The Children’s Imaginarium in Wausau is thrilled to welcome Ben Natzke as its new operations and volunteer coordinator. Originally from Athens, Ben is excited to return home to Central Wisconsin to raise his family and contribute his talents to the growth of the Children’s Imaginarium.

Natzke brings a diverse and dynamic background to the role. He earned his undergraduate degree in psychology with a minor in Youth Programming and Camp Management from UW–Stevens Point and later completed his master’s in sport management from Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Over the past decade, Natzke has built a strong foundation in youth ministry, followed by leadership experience in parks and recreation management, including responsibilities in membership coordination, facility rentals, staff oversight, and guest services.

“Ben’s passion for creating inclusive, enriching experiences for families and his deep ties to the region make him a perfect fit for the Imaginarium,” said Julie Bollmann, executive director of the Children’s Imaginarium. “Ben became a member of the Children’s Imaginarium prior to applying to this position. He has already been part of our community as a member, and we’re excited to now have him helping lead our daily operations and volunteer engagement.”

As the museum continues to grow, Natzke’s experience and leadership will be instrumental in supporting visitor services, volunteer programs, and behind-thescenes operations that ensure a welcoming, high-quality experience for all.

The Children’s Imaginarium is a grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit that opened in December 2023 in Wausau. As a cornerstone in the downtown redevelopment project, the professionally designed, STEM-focused children’s museum is a place for kids to learn, parents to engage, and families to connect.

Supported by a communitywide board of directors comprised of professionals, educators, and parents, the Children’s Imaginarium welcomes children of all abilities and will serve as an asset to area schools and other local children’s organizations.
