Results show how much Knights have improved

It might not be as warm as they would have liked, but the Cornell-Lake Holcombe track program nonetheless performed well, May 22, at Bruce, during the conference meet.
“The Knights athletes did a wonderful job,” said coach Laurie Bowe. “It was fun to watch them get their personal bests.”
Taking top honors, was senior Hunter Anders, for the boys, who was the conference champion in high jump, with a height of 5-08. He also claimed 10th in the long jump event (16-05.5).
Junior Carson Stipek followed that with a second place finish in pole vault (10-06), while sophomore Bryce De-Jongh took fourth in that event (9-00) and fourth in the 3,200-meter run (13:07.19). Following that, junior Alex Dixon placed fifth in the 800-meter run (2:24.86) and sixth in triple jump (34-10), with junior Grady Abbott taking seventh in pole vault (7-00).
Coming next, was junior Logan Jaedike, who was eighth in the 800-meter dash (26.09), 10th in discus throw (8408) and 14th in shot put (26-09), while junior Jordan Ness was eighth in the 400-meter dash (1:07.88), 12th in the 200 dash (29.83) and 16th in long jump (13-04.5). Junior Tommy Kane placed ninth in shot put (32-05) and 11th in discus (82-09), with sophomore Will Willmarth in 13th in the 200 dash (29.85) and 15th in the long jump event (13-04.5).
The 4x200-meter relay also captured second place. On the girls’ side, junior Megan Paff placed high, taking second in shot put (32-07) and third in discus throw (100-04). Freshman Ann Pogodznski took fourth in the 100-meter hurdles (21.21), 300-meter hurdles (56.71) and high jump (4-06), while freshman Lane Porter finished in eighth the 800 run (3:14.9), with freshman Kaitlyn Helland ending in ninth in high jump (3-10) and long jump (10-10.5).
“All of the athletes improved and it showed, with the all conference awards we received,” said Bowe.
