Hornets fall short of goal, but have some successes

To finish out their year, the Cadott archery program was in Louisville, Ky., May 8-10, where they competed against the best there are for Nationals.

“We did not meet our goal of a 3,400 team score, but we did have three personal best scores,” said coach Scott Christenson.

At the end of the tournament, the Hornets were in 17th place out of 265 schools, scoring 3,378. Placing highest for Cadott, was junior Anthony Glenz, with a score of 294, followed by senior Mozelle Walthers, with a personal best of 292. Senior Brooklyn Hrdlicka came next, with 288, while junior Abi Bowe had 283, and juniors Myka McCullough and Gabe Sikora each scored 282, with personal bests.

Following that, was junior Alexa Gindt, with 279, junior Marcus Burlum scored 277, while sophomore Garrett Engel and Olive LaRose each had 276. Sophomore Gabe Dohms followed that up with 275, with junior Gavin Roscoe right behind, with 274. Freshman Carter Slagle ended with a score of 273, with sophomore Jada Loken scoring 272, and sophomore Payton Pedersen and junior Danielle Sikora each had 269.

Senior Logan Wand came next, with 268, while sophomores Owen Fasbender and Isaac Wellner each scored 267, followed by juniors Logan LaNou and Zakary Hladilek, and freshman Andrew Wundrow, all with 264. Rounding out the scoring, was freshman Lucas Bourget, with 263 and freshman Kaylee Stai, who had 259.
