Knights’ offense closes the win over league foe

A successful game at Birchwood-Winter, May 1, is helping the Cornell-Lake Holcombe softball program to maintain their place near the top of the East Lakeland Conference. The bats came alive for the Knights in the match-up, to take a 17-9 win over their opponents.
Senior Candice Spaeth was at the helm for the Knights, going all seven innings, and allowing 9 hits and 9 runs, while striking out 3.
Offensively, seniors Izzy Schwingle and Richelle Raether, juniors Faith Heinzen and Savannah Burlingame, and sophomore Kyleigh Mercer all had 2 hits each, with Spaeth, and seniors Bralee Schroeder and Alyssa Bowe all adding a hit.
