Cadott Village Board - Kucera given permit, if variance gets the OK

Although he was unable to be present, April 21, at the Cadott Village Board meeting, a Conditional Use Permit was approved for Tom Kucera. Kucera had not yet met with the Variance Committee for the required variance he needs, because of personal reasons, but the board went ahead and approved the permit.
However, there is the stipulation Kucera receives the variance.
“What does the board think of that idea?” asked board president Randy Khueni.
It was decided to do it that way, so Kucera does not have to pay additional fees again. The motion passed, with those present all in favor, with the exception of Eric Weiland, who abstained, because he is on the Variance Committee.
The board also approved a transient merchant application for Dave “Twig” Weiland, who wishes to sell honey and some woodworking items out of his home. E. Weiland again abstained, as the two are related.
It was also reported that We Energies is working on their gas line, so residents may notice a disturbance, as the company might need to excavate parts of yards along County Hwy. X, in preparation of the upcoming street project. We Energies will contact Diggers Hotline on behalf of the homeowner, before any excavating takes place.
“They’re going to wait until they get the new gas main and then get everything connected,” said Brian Chapman, Cedar Corp. “And then the old gas main will be abandoned and they won’t have to deal with two of them.”
