Cadott charges past rivals to capture bragging rights

It was off to Stanley-Boyd, Dec. 12, for the Cadott girls basketball program, in a rivalry game for bragging rights. The West Cloverbelt Conference was a close affair, with the Hornets pulling ahead in the first half, to take a five-point lead into the break.
The second half was much the same, with Cadott maintaining their lead to claim a 49-41 victory at the end of the night.
Junior Taylor Hager had another good game, recording 22 points, followed by senior Tarynn Donahue, with 8, while senior Kasey Moldrem sank a pair of three-pointers.
Following that up, was freshman Sophie Kowalczyk, with 4 points, with senior Brooklyn Hrdlicka knocking in a three-point shot. Senior McKenna Steinke, junior Lilly Spaeth and sophomore Ava Eiler all chipped in with 2 points.
Donahue and Hager also had 4 assists each, while Moldrem ended with 6 rebounds. Donahue had 5 rebounds and Spaeth nabbed 4. Leading in steals, was Hager, with 3, while Donahue, Hrdlicka, Moldrem and Spaeth each came up with 2.
Cadott is now 6-2 overall and 2-1 in the league.
