Hornets notch second in the Regional action

It was off to Mondovi, May 23, for the Cadott golf program to take part in Regional competition, against the best in the area.

“The course played pretty tough, but I was happy with how the boys finished,” said coach Scott Christenson.

On the individual side of the links, senior Peter Weir placed sixth on the day, carding 95. Senior Tristan Drier followed that up with eighth place, scoring a 98. Sophomore Parker Davis came next, with a finish of 10th, carding a 102.

Freshman Gavin Roscoe got on the scorecard with a 109, ending in 14th place. Freshman Collin Kowalczyk rounded out the scoring with 20th place, carding a 118.

Overall, the team finished in second place, with a score of 404, just 5 strokes out of the top spot.

“We have now earned a chance to play at Whispering Pines next Tuesday (Sectionals),” said Christenson. “Hopefully, our team can play well, with the home course advantage.”
