David J. Anderson


David J. Anderson, 63, Cadott, passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023, at Marshfield Hospital, in Eau Claire, surrounded by family and friends.
David, the son of James and Rose (Liedl) Anderson, was born Sept. 24, 1960.
He grew up in Stanley. David married the love of his life, Debbie (LeDuc) Anderson, June 11, 1983.
He spent many years making cheese, and ultimately resigned from the Yellowstone Cheese Factory in April 2023, to concentrate on his health.
David loved spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, farming, camping, woodworking, playing life on the farm with his grandchildren and supporting his grandchildren’s passions. His sense of humor, and his ability to bake his signature apple and peach pies, will live on in memory.
David provided support, when needed, to family and friends, as a sign of his love. For David, spending time with his family was essential.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years – Debbie (LeDuc) Anderson, Cadott; two sons – Travis (Samantha) Anderson, Osseo, and Ryan (Alicia) Anderson, Cadott; one daughter – Shannon (Jonathon) Kummer, New Auburn; grandchildren – Royce, Emma, Grace, Maci, Lillianna and Leo; four sisters – Pam (Jeff) Thompson, Stanley, Peggy (Jerry) Ciokiewicz, Stanley, Cheryl (Rick) LaMarche, Stanley, Cynthia (Donny) Burzynski, Stanley; one brother – Lorry (Linda) Anderson; Elk Mound; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents – Jim and Rose Anderson; brothers – James Jr. “Tubby” Anderson and Tim Anderson; sister – Patricia LaMarche; nephew – Joshua Anderson; and grandparents – Margaret and Albert Liedl, and Jacob and Mollie Anderson.
David’s friends, family and grandchildren, all cherished and admired him.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 14, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cadott, with Father William Felix officiating. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Boyd, following the Mass.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., with praying the Rosary at 8 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 13, at Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott. A visitation will also be one hour prior to the Mass, Thursday morning, at the church.
