Car vs. deer
On May 20 at 9:18 p.m., a vehicle operated by Jorgia Cooley, 18, of Medford, was traveling eastbound on CTH M near Sackett’s Dr. when Cooley swerved to avoid a deer, over corrected, and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle then entered the south ditch of CTH M, spun around and faced to the southwest as it continued east through the ditch and struck a power line pole where it stopped shortly after. Cooley complained of only chest pains and was later taken to a nearby hospital by her mother. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was later removed by a tow truck.
