Parker advances his way to Sectional competition

By Ginna Young The Cornell-Lake Holcombe golf program sent their athletes to Rice Lake, May 23, at the Turtleback course, for Regional competition and while not everyone came within distance of advancing, the Knights still made a good showing. Junior Torren Parker also qualified to move onto Sectionals, with a score of 100. “Torren was elated,” said substitute coach Todd Senoraske. “I think he was a little surprised at first. Happy for him.” Also competing, were sophomore Logan Jaedike, with a score of 107, followed by sophomore Carson Stipek, with a score of 109. Freshman Bryce DeJongh was right behind, carding a 110, while sophomore Alex Dixon, with 122. “The others did well, too,” said Senoraske. “It was a beautiful day on the course.”
