Cornell seniors end career on target at National shoot
By Ginna Young
Cornell’s archery program sent three seniors to National competition in Louisville, Ky., May 9-11, shooting as individuals. Faith Kubista was the lone archer in bullseye, scoring 278 and finishing 93rd in her grade, and 566th out of almost 7,000 athletes.
Kubista also shot in the 3D competition, again with a score of 278, ranking 30th, while Carter Harycki scored 276, ranking 62nd, and Grace Harycki had a score of 261, ending in 116th place.
That puts an end to their high school careers, but the experience will be something to remember for the rest of their lives.
