FCCLA students earn medals at national competition

Loyal High School students (l-r) Parker Smith, Noelle Teschner and Hope Peroshek competed at the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) National Leadership Conference in Denver, Colo., earlier this month, with Peroshek earning a silver medal in the job interview category, and Teschner and Smith earning a silver medal in repurpose and redesign. Besides the competition, Teschner and Peroshek enjoyed trading state pins with FCCLA members from across the country. Each collected about 40 pins, including Teschner getting one from Hawaii. Also on the trip, the students and their family members visited Denver’s DowntownAquarium and watched fireworks over the city of Denver.
