Leichtnams celebrate 50th family reunion
The family of Gorman and Celia Leichtnam held its 50th annual reunion recently at Jellystone Park near Warrens. Eighty-two family members were at the three-day celebration.
Those attending were Bonnie (Leichtnam) Rehberg, Onalaska and her family with Al Rehberg: Jeff Rehberg and Jenny Vlasic, Mauston, Danielle Rehberg and Markus Schumacher, Zayden Zyree and Zaxtyn, LaCrosse.

The reunion included a Friday night outdoor fish fry/potluck dinner with the fish provided by Jeff Rehberg in the decades-long Rehberg tradition. The fish was prepared by Kathy Ivans, Lisa Grim and Charles Grim and deep fried by the entertaining duo of Jim Leichtnam and Mark Peterson. The gathering included a 50-year reunion cake, booklets with memories and photos from the past reunions, a pinata, kamikaze shots and a toast to family. Another potluck dinner was held on Saturday night. The Don Leichtnam, Jack Leichtnam and Donna Anderson families won “Perfect Attendance by Cousins” awards.
