Tack Center,
from p. 1 As the new director for the Tack Center, Worsham will play an important part in shaping that future. Looking ahead, he said it will be important for him to continue the legacy left by the Veales and provide good entertainment for all who come to shows at the center.
“I’m not coming in to pull the rug out from under everybody,” he said. “I want the show to go on and give people what they expect from the Tack Center. I want them to learn to love and experience good quality entertainment.”
Already, Worsham said there are a couple things being lined up for the Tack Center’s next season of performances, including an interview and book signing with a former general manager of the Green Bay Packers and a performance by the southern gospel group called The Hoppers. Other performances are in the works, he said, and he hopes the Tack Center will be able to offer something for everyone to enjoy.
“It’s a nice cozy venue,” he said. “Marshfield is right next door and there’s more people in the surrounding areas. I want to take the Tack Center and spread the word a little bit on what it has to offer everyone.”
Beyond this season, Worsham said he hopes to be able to continue his work at the Tack Center and stay on for years to come.
“I want to thank the board and school for reaching out and choosing a young guy like me; not everyone would do that,” he said. “I really appreciate the opportunity to learn and grow. They got me while I’m young and I hope to stay here for a very long time.”
