thens Appreciation
Progress Athens Foundation had over 100 guests who attended the ribbon cutting and open house on Saturday to celebrate the grand opening of the village of Athens’ new municipal buiding.
The people who came celebrated the momentous occasion of a project that has been in the works since 2021, when a group of individuals came together to initiate the process of purchasing a former bank building and renovating it to what it is today. This building now houses the village clerk’s office, Athens Police Department and the Marathon County Public Library’s Athens Branch.
Progress Athens Foundation had tremendous support from over 100 generous donors, numerous volunteers and a partnership with the village of Athens. The dream of completing the first phases of this project has come true. This is just the beginning. If you are interested in donating toward future projects for the Athens area, send your contribution to Progress Athens Foundation, P.O. Box 147, Athens, WI 54411.
