On May 9, at 2:34 p.m., Jean Miller, 79, of Stetsonville, was backing up her vehicle eastbound in the parking lot at Medford plaza. At the same time a vehicle driven by Amy Paff, 48, of Medford was also backing out in a westbound direction. The rear driver side corner of Paff’s vehicle struck the middle passenger side of Miller’s vehicle causing functional damage to the right rear and middle of Miller’s vehicle and minor damage to the left rear corner of Paff’s vehicle.

On May 6 at 12:55 a.m., deputies responded to a one vehicle crash at 1301 HWy 102 in the village of Rib Lake. A vehicle operated by Nichelle M. Tibbits, 32, of Albuquerque, N.M. struck a light pole while leaving a parking spot. Functional damage occurred to the rear of the vehicles. Tibbits was cited for operation while under the influence.

On May 7, at 7:15 p.m., Wade Johnson, 33, of Willston, North Dakota, was backing out of the driveway at 111927 Willow Avenue and was attempting to face westbound. Johnson turned too aggressively, which caused the vehicle to slide into the ditch causing his vehicle to tip onto the passenger side. The vehicle sustained minor damages to the right front and rear side.

On May 6, at 9:00 p.m., Rebecka Jolma, 38, of Marengo, was traveling westbound on CTH M, 467 feet east from Hunter Rd, in the town of Greenwood when she struck a deer causing disabling damage to the front and under side of her vehicle.

On May 13, at 4:28 a.m., Joshua Mc Fayden, 48, of Medford was traveling northbound on Hwy 13, 874 feet south of South St. in the town of Chelsea when he struck a deer causing minor damage to the left front corner of the vehicle.


On May 13, at 10:55 a.m., Jodi Menning, 62, of Chelsea was in the parking lot at 117 N. Eighth St., Todd Nikolai, 51, of Loyal, was traveling northbound on N. Eighth Street just north of Broadway Ave. with five other passengers in the car. Menning attempted to cross N. Eighth St. going eastbound to get to the parking lot at 208 N. Eighth St. Menning did not see Nikolai coming and struck Nikolai’s vehicle with the front passenger side corner hitting the front drivers side corner. After the collision, Menning appeared to continue to press the gas and turned around to go westbound, eventually coming to a rest on the sidewalk on the west side of N Eighth St., just north of the collision site. Menning’s vehicle sustained disabling damages to the whole front of the vehicle, while Nikolai’s vehicle sustained functional damages to the left front and front side. Two passengers were injured in Nikolai’s vehicle but were not transported and Menning was transported by ambulance to the Aspirus Medford Hospital.Medford Police Department
