State officials hoping harvest picks up with rut kicking in, early start to gun hunt

The flip of the calendar from October to November certainly is meaningful to most of Wisconsin’s white-tailed deer hunters.
The city of Medford has a new logo. As part of the LIVE Grant program, the city is doing a rebranding effort to have the same logo used across platforms and purposes. City council approved the new logo on Monday and it will be phased in as signs, letterhead and clothing are replaced.
A large bald eagle was observed cruising over the Chelsea Conservation Club on Hwy 13 on Thursday, September 10. At this point in the season eagles tend to frequent areas with plenty of open water, hunting for fish and other aquatic life before the cold sets in, cutting off those food sources.
