Past O.E.S. heads honored
Past matrons and past patrons of the Abbotsford chapter of the Order of Eastern Star were honored Tuesday evening. A program was given by officers and members in which each of the nine past matrons and five past patrons were presented with a gift.
Harp concert will be given at high school
The Abbotsford Music Study and Choral Club will present Mary Elizabeth Collins, harpist in concert at the Abbotsford high school gymnasium Saturday evening.

Fashion Boutique, new clothing store, opens at Colby
A new ladies and teenage girls clothing store in Colby opened its doors to the public on November 1. Owned and operated by Virgie Mattson of Medford and Jackie Stange of Colby, the store is an entirely new undertaking for both ladies.
Hornets win third straight Cloverbelt title
The Colby High School football team won its third straight Cloverbelt championship last Saturday night at Stanley, 12-2.
Falcons fall victim to Spencer Rockets 12-7 last Friday
The Spencer Rockets scored a 12-7 victory over the Abbotsford Falcons in a game played last Friday evening in Spencer. The loss gives the Falcons a 4 win to 5 record.

Republicans victorious in several local election races
Clark County Sheriff Dale Olson, Scott Suder (69th Assembly District) and Dave Zien (23rd District Senate seat) all earned wins in local elections.
Abbotsford annexes 159 acres
The City of Abbotsford this week annexed another 159 acres of land to its southeast sector near the Hwy. 29 bypass. The council at its regular meeting Nov. 2 approved a petition for annexation submitted by Richard Bunkelman and Terry Eggebrecht of Welcome Dairy.
Feddick’s lawsuit rejected by federal jury
A jury at the federal courthouse in Wausau deliberated only 30 minutes Nov. 3 before denying several claims by David Feddick ofAbbotsford against two CAPD officers.
