Past O.E.S. heads honored

Past matrons and past patrons of the Abbotsford chapter of the Order of Eastern Star were honored Tuesday evening. A program was given by officers and members in which each of the nine past matrons and five past patrons were presented with a gift.

The Spencer Rockets scored a 12-7 victory over the Abbotsford Falcons in a game played last Friday evening in Spencer. The loss gives the Falcons a 4 win to 5 record.

Abbotsford annexes 159 acres

The City of Abbotsford this week annexed another 159 acres of land to its southeast sector near the Hwy. 29 bypass. The council at its regular meeting Nov. 2 approved a petition for annexation submitted by Richard Bunkelman and Terry Eggebrecht of Welcome Dairy.
