Members of the county’s metallic mining committee met with representatives from GreenLight Metals to talk about exploration for a potential mine at the Bend site north of Perkinstown. While the deposit has been known since the 1970s, there is renewed interest in it now due to emphasis on reducing dependency on imports for “critical minerals” such copper, zinc and tellurium.
