Cornell cruises to a win over New Auburn

Acting as host to New Auburn Oct. 4, the Cornell volleyball program made another mark in the win column.

The first set was close, but Cornell pulled it out, 25-21, then won handily in the second set, 25-14. The Trojans rallied in the third and final set, but the Chiefs wouldn’t be denied and won, 25-20, to improve their record and remain unbeaten in conference play.

For the Chiefs, junior Brooke Anderson led with 10 kills, followed by sophomore Briana Glaus, who had 8. Juniors Brooke Sime, Marcella Boehm and Makya Hetherington, and sophomore Bralee Schroeder, all added 4 kills each.

Sime was strong at the service line, with 23 attempts, 8 aces and 0 errors, while Hetherington had 15 assists and Schroeder had 13.
