Hornets sending six on to battle for podium at State

After competing at the Edgar Sectionals Feb. 18, six Cadott boys wrestled their way to a spot at State.

Bringing in Sectional championships, were senior Brayden Sonnentag (132 pounds), who won over Marathon’s Dylan Dodson by forfeit; senior Tristan Drier (152) over Kaleb Krummel, Stratford, with a 17-0 technical foul; senior Cole Pfeiffer (160) over Marathon’s Hector Pintor, in a 10-0 major decision; and senior Levi Lindsay (195), winning over Boyceville’s Bash Nelson, in a 1-0 decision.

Placing second for the Hornets, was senior Dawson Webster (182), who won over Shell Lake’s Maximus Elliott, in a 1:13 fall. Junior Axel Tegels (220) also punched his ticket to State, taking third place, while sophomore Kaleb Lodahl (106) finished just shy of moving on.
