The Cornell-Gilman Wolfpack Wrestling program hosted two schools in a triangular, where a rough start began the night.

Jan. 26 vs. Unity (L 60-6)

Unity received multiple forfeits, which put the Wolfpack behind early on, which was followed by some losses, as sophomore Preston Fredrickson (132 pounds) dropped his match with Adrien Olsen. Senior Braeden Person (160) also dropped his match with Gavin Holden, as did freshman Anthony Schofield (220) against Alex Holden.

Picking up the lone victory over Unity, was junior Troy Duellman (152), who won his match against Tanner Freer, by a 2:56 fall, giving the Unity team the 60-6 win.

“I think all of our wrestlers had matches they could have won and in two cases, were in the lead, before they were pinned,” said coach Greg Sonnentag. “Troy Duellman had the only win, so it’s safe to say that we could have had a better showing.”
